I need more of this world, that's right, NEED, not want! This is the second book I've read from this author and she continues to blow me away with her writing. The story is so well constructed, everything is provided in vivid detail (but not in a way that adds extra words or fluff), the characters are phenomenal.

Whistleblower, Eden and Linc's story, is the beginning of the PALADIN series…a team of assassins, lead by Vesper (her code name), that get the job done in the gray area. This team is absolutely a family and I can't wait to explore more of their individual stories.

“There are requirements. This life I’m giving you, won’t be yours. You’ll be part of my team. When I say chase—you run. When I say jump—you fly. You never take a life unless I give the command.”

I don't want to give away the plot in any way because the story is SO FREAKING GOOD! Linc is a killer, but the way he loves Eden is utter perfection. Eden hates guns, but she isn't about to let Linc slip through her fingers. Their story is intriguing and suspenseful with some spice mixed in. I loved absolutely EVERYTHING about this book!

I originally read on kindle unlimited, but needed my own trophy copy, can't wait for it to arrive!

This book was really good I liked it the only thing I would say was at the beginning the MFC got on my nerves a bit but she grew on me. But I would still recommend y’all to read this book it was cute.

I will say this HANDS DOWN!! A 2023 rec for me!! Absolutely Loved This!

Eden, a strong-willed, sweet girl,, thrown into the worst of circumstances, gets offered the job of a lifetime to work with people that handle some shady things that no one else does. The way she takes control and is so strong and compassionate, even to those she should be scared of. She gets thrown a hell of a curve ball in her life, and she's nothing if not supportive but ready to throw down.

And Linc, Well, he's a total teddy bear underneath the assassin persona. He's the perfect example of a morally gray character you fall in love with. This man is the example of fire and ice. From the get-go. The possessiveness and willing to kill for the woman he loves; but is so sweet and loving.

The touch her and die vibes that Linc gives off when hes protecting Eden will make you jealous because its so hot! I didn't want this book to end! It was absolutely my favorite book by the author. I cant wait to see where this world goes next.

This exceeded my expectations and I was already excited because we’re from the same city! I love the transparency from Eden and how willing Linc was to adapt to keep the woman he wanted! It was a solid read, I read it is 4 hours!
